The Old Town Hall dominates the Hlavné Námestie.
Left of its
tower stands the Jesuit Church. The Kutscherfeld Palace, today
the French embassy, was in 1847 the home of the Russian piano
virtuose Anton Rubinstein. |

In the middle of the square stands the Maximilian Fountain,
the oldest preserved fountain of Bratislava (1572), just in front a splendid
Art Nouveau building from the turn of the century. |
